Global energy demand is growing, society's consciousness of greenhouse emissions is high, and climate changes can strain energy networks especially in hot summer months. The power industry has responded to these challenges with the development of a smart grid, a telecommunications infrastructure parallel to the power infrastructure. Loop Telecom devices help power companies build this communication network, allowing more information to spread faster and achieving energy and financial efficiency. Furthermore, Loop devices help power utilities communicate inside power plants as dams, wind farms and other infrastructures grow bigger and more computerized.
-
As large companies grow, they increasingly need more dedicated internal infrastructure to communicate with their machines across large factories and between remote sites.Loop Telecom products such as the IP6820 are suited for these difficult environments -- it includes several GbE ports for high speed data transfer between data-hungry devices, as well as industrial casing to survive harsh temperatures. Our devices allow you to connect all of your SCADA devices together and monitor from a central office.
-
While not as physically demanding as large factories, offices require strong communication networks as well. Many companies seek better ways to organize their traffic and this is where the IP6510-LN and the IP6610 can help. Our devices can add VLAN tags to direct traffic. They can also aggregate company leased lines for more efficient use. Video surveillance and alarm monitoring, applicable both to white and blue collar workplaces, requires a communication network as well. With devices from Loop Telecom, alarms can be monitored from long distances.
-
In many ways, a telecommunication network often mirrors a physical transportation network -- thus the old phrase "information superhighway" used to refer to the internet. However, physical transportation networks such as roadways and railways often require their own separate communication network to relay alarm and status information to human operators. Loop Telecom provides the total solution for transmission equipment so that government agencies can build such a support network to keep their roads and railways safe and efficient. As well, iNMS management and provisioning lightens the load of maintenance.
-
As the number of internet access devices such as smart phones and laptops continues to grow, their desire for larger amounts of data at higher speeds strains current telecommunications networks. Loop Telecom devices help carriers across the world as they expand and upgrade their network. This includes our SDH/SONET family of devices such as the O9400R and O9150Sa for transport over fiber optical lines. The V4150 provides scalable DS0 grooming solution. Loop devices also provide last mile infrastructure and legacy access, such as our AM3440 in the Multi-Services Cross Connect category, filling in niche markets not served by big companies.
-
Every network needs to be managed. All Loop devices support SNMP and SSH into a remote terminal. Loop-iNET and LoopView allow you to change settings through a GUI format, and also switch easily between multiple devices. For complex network features such as circuit provisioning, Loop-iNMS fulfills customer needs. Loop products support both inband and outband management, depending on the customer's needs. This section shows some examples of how key features such as Disaster Recovery has helped our customers manage their communication networks.

The move from a TDM (time division multiplexing) based network to an Ethernet or IP-based packet switched network is gradual and necessary in order to improve performance and keep costs down. However, this switch is being approached different ways depending on if the customer is a telecom carrier, utility, financial institution, or other industry. In all cases, legacy devices still need to be supported. Loop's line of TDMoE devices such as the IP6704A and the AM3440 CCPA/CCPB card mitigates the risk of the transition by letting older TDM devices connect to the new IP-based network. These stories show how.

Mission-critical communication systems are closely related to daily life. The MCC solution has been widely implemented into such infrastructure as the global transportation emergency call network, railway driving communication network, rail traffic signal control network, airport passenger transportation system, security monitoring system, power transmission monitoring system, public safety 911 system, various governmental backbone networks, and more.
All the infrastructure needs to ensure ultra-reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) and accurate time control to keep track of the system operation status at any time and avoid disasters through the critical communication network. Mission-critical communication system requires real-time capabilities to minimize delays in the network. Reliability allows users ease of use; even in difficult situations, users can rely on the communication system to work as intended.
