FRM220 chassis rack managed single channel optical amplifier Booster module (RM220-OAB21) provides multi-function, low noise, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) solutions for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications.

The Single Channel EDFA Booster Card (FRM220-OAB21) operates at the transmission side of the link. It features high input power, high output power, and medium optical gain and designed to amplify aggregated optical input power for reach extension. The FRM220-OAB21 provides Automatic Gain Control (AGC) via rack management or RS-232 console interface. Its fast transient suppression feature allowing the output power to be kept at a constant level when there are fast changes in input power.
